The University of Nevada, Las Vegas men’s basketball program announced on Apr. 16 that Cam Miles has signed a commitment to join the Runnin’ Rebels for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Josh Pastner confirmed the addition of Miles, who is transferring from Florida State after playing his freshman year with the Seminoles.
Miles, a guard standing six feet two inches and weighing 170 pounds, appeared in 25 games at Florida State, averaging 5.4 points and 1.7 assists in nearly fourteen minutes per game. He scored eight or more points seven times during the season, including four games in double figures and a season-high of seventeen points.
Pastner said, “Cam has great speed and plays fast. He really fits the way we want to play. He’s at his best going downhill, getting into the paint and creating for himself and others. He’s a dynamic guard who can score, distribute, and defend at a high level. His ability to push tempo and play with a runnin’ style is exactly how we want to play here at UNLV. We are excited about what he brings to our program.”
Miles graduated from Arizona Compass Academy in 2024 before spending a postgraduate year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida where he averaged over seventeen points per game along with more than five assists per contest. ESPN rated him as a four-star recruit for the class of 2025.
In addition to welcoming Miles, UNLV confirmed that Tyrin Jones and Issac Williamson have committed to return for another season after their freshman campaigns in 2025-26. Jones was named to the Mountain West’s All-Defensive Team while leading the league in blocks; Williamson averaged just under nine points per game.
Pastner will enter his second year as head coach during the upcoming season after guiding UNLV into postseason play last year where they advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Season tickets are currently available starting at $115.
