Forbes has named Clark County, Nevada, to its Best-in-State Employers 2022 list.
According to the Clark County website, the award was handed out through a partnership with Forbes and Statista, Inc., a leading global market ranking organization. The state had 35 employers on the list, with four in the public sector, and none ranked higher than Clark County.
“We are a government organization, but we are driven by service to others. Clark County offers a range of benefits to our employees, but perhaps the greatest benefit is a rewarding career filled with growth and opportunity. We are always hiring and encourage those interested to apply today,” Jim Gibson, chair of the Clark County Commission, told the Clark County website.
In order to calculate their rankings, Forbes surveyed 70,000 employees throughout the country, which led to the America’s Best-in-State Employers 2022 list. The survey identified 1,380 companies that were named throughout 25 various businesses.
Among the questions asked to employees was whether they would recommend their employer to acquaintances, along with providing feedback on other organizations that competed in their field.
According to Gibson, “As an employer of over 10,000 people, we are thrilled to be recognized for the first time as a Best-In-State employer, especially as the top government employer in Nevada. The Forbes brand is recognized across the world, but here in our community, the Clark County brand is one that we stand behind and we know the pride our employees feel in representing our community through public service.”
