The Clark County government recently held an online auction on surplus items, including cars, that it said could be purchased for bargain prices.

According to a news release from Clark County, other government entities participated in the auction that featured vehicles, equipment and other items on TNT auction’s website, www.tntauction.com.

“We encourage interested bidders to come to the preview because it gives you the opportunity to see some items in person before placing their bids online,” said David Johnson, director of Clark County’s Automotive and Central Services Division, prior to the event. “Everything you see on the lot will be sold to the highest bidder.”

Buyers had a chance to look at all the items on TNT’s website, which contained information on how to participate in the auction. The event was held over three days at Harry Reid International Airport.

The public had a chance to see the items in person at TNT’s auction yard lot at 4530 Alto Ave., which is southeast of the Lamb Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue intersection. About 200 motor vehicles and 300 lots of miscellaneous items were up for grabs, along with lost-and-found items from the airport.

Local cities, area police departments and the state of Nevada participated in the auction.
