Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform on October 20 and 21, 2025, to address issues ranging from health care access to employment impacts and community celebrations.

On October 20, Lee highlighted concerns about health insurance premiums for Nevadans if Affordable Care Act tax credits expire. She wrote, “Sara is self-employed. She and her husband rely on Nevada Health Link for health coverage — but if the ACA tax credits expire, their premiums will more than double. That would be devastating for their family.

We can’t let hardworking Nevadans lose the coverage they depend on.” This post referenced a local family’s reliance on ACA subsidies and underscored potential financial challenges should those supports lapse.

Later that day, Lee criticized Republican-backed policies she said led to job losses in Nevada’s clean energy sector. In a tweet posted at 19:30 UTC, she stated, “Too bad @SecretaryWright didn’t come to Nevada to report the 7,000 jobs we lost when Republicans killed clean energy jobs with their Big Bullshit Bill.

Glad he’s owning these furloughs also. #RepublicanShutdown #TrumpSlump”

On October 21, Lee extended greetings to her constituents celebrating Diwali. She posted, “Happy Diwali, #NV03! Wishing all a festive celebration full of light!”

Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Jacky Rosen. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1966 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
