Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, addressed several national and local issues in a series of posts on October 9, 2025.

In her first post, Lee responded to the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, stating, “The news of tonight’s ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is what we have waited 732 days to hear – an agreement to finally get the hostages home and end this war. Just yesterday, on the second anniversary of the October 7th massacre, I renewed my call for peace in the region.” (October 9, 2025).

Later that day, Lee commented on a sports achievement by A’ja Wilson, posting “That’s why she is 4x MVP! A’ja!! One more win! Let’s do this.” (October 9, 2025).

Addressing domestic concerns, Lee warned about rising health insurance costs in Nevada and called for bipartisan action in Congress: “Don’t be fooled. Nevadans are already talking about how their health insurance costs are skyrocketing for this upcoming year. Republicans in Congress must come to the table so we can stop this health care crisis and reopen the government before it is too late.” (October 9, 2025).

Susie Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd District since replacing Jacky Rosen in Congress in 2019. Born in Canton, Ohio in 1966, Lee currently resides in Las Vegas and holds a BA from Carnegie Mellon University.
