Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official X account on September 5, 2025, addressing tax policy for tipped workers, a student essay contest related to the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, and her visit to a local technology manufacturer.

In a post published at 00:29 UTC on September 5, Lee stated: “I support a “No Tax on Tips” policy that:
Lets you deduct ALL your tips
Eliminates the subminimum wage
Does not expire after 2028

Too bad the Big Bullshit Law doesn’t include any of this. It overpromises and underdelivers for working families. That’s why I’m pushing to”

Later that day at 17:48 UTC, she announced an opportunity for students in her state: ” Calling all Nevada fourth-graders:

For the first time, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be from Nevada this year! To celebrate, fourth grade students can enter an essay contest to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to light the tree this holiday season in Washington!”

At 19:32 UTC on September 5, Lee highlighted her visit to Carbon SiC Technologies’ new headquarters in her district: “I visited Carbon SiC Technologies’ new headquarters in #NV03 to learn more about the lighter, stronger, and more efficient materials they’re producing. By manufacturing the heat resistant materials necessary for defense systems, they’re helping keep our country safe.
