The Clark County, Nevada, government has given the green light for the Mesquite City Hall branch office of the Clark County Clerk to operate for three more years, according to a recent press release.

The request to continue to serve the public until Nov. 30, 2025, was made by County Clerk, Lynn Marie Goya and the city of Mesquite and Clark County Commission approved the request, the release stated. The branch began operations in January to serve as a temporary location as the county examined the need for the clerk’s services in Mesquite.

“I am very pleased we were able to hammer out an agreement with the city of Mesquite to continue to offer Mesquite residents and businesses the ability for couples to get their marriage license locally,” Goya said in the release.

The branch process marriage licenses, certificates for vow renewals and files fictitious firm name forms (FFNs) and notary bonds.

“Since January when we opened, we have issued 118 marriage licenses, 59 FFNs and 17 notary bond acceptances,” Goya said. “We expect demand to grow as more people find out about the office and more couples stay in Mesquite to get married.”
