On October 23rd, 2022, at approximately 7:40a.m., the City of Henderson Police Department responded to the new home construction area just west of Via Altimira, in reference to a citizen who reported locating a single vehicle fatal collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black Mercedes sedan was traveling westbound on Via Altimira at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle left the roadway, rolling several times, ejecting the unsecured driver.

The 23-year-old male driver was deceased at the scene.

Speed and impairment are considered factors in this incident.

There were no reported traffic closures.

As this is still an active and open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The collision is being investigated as the tenth accident-related fatality for 2022.
