Huey and Belflower to compete at NCAA Championships in Atlanta

UNLV men’s swimming seniors Bryson Huey and Ian Belflower will represent the Rebels at the 2026 NCAA Championships, which will take place from March 25 to March 28 at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, according to a March 14 announcement.

The participation of both athletes marks their first appearance at a national championship event. Their qualification highlights individual achievements during the season and provides an opportunity for UNLV to be represented on a national stage.

Huey, who is from Walnut Creek, California, is scheduled to swim in the 50 freestyle. He enters the competition ranked 28th among competitors with a time of 19.02 seconds. Huey secured his spot by achieving an NCAA qualifying time at the Minnesota Invitational and winning the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) title in the event.

Belflower, a native of Reno, Nevada, will compete in the 200 butterfly. He is ranked 34th among entrants with a time of 1:42.45. Belflower qualified by winning gold in his event at the MPSF Championships and breaking a school record that had stood for 35 years with his performance of 1:43.45.
