Nevada State University honors largest graduating class at Spring 2026 commencement

Nevada State University celebrated its largest graduating class on May 9 during the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The event marked a significant milestone for the university, as it awarded 939 degrees to 915 graduates. The School of Nursing had the highest number of spring graduates with a total of 356 students completing their studies. Cheyenne Lange, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology, became Nevada State’s 10,000th graduate.

More than sixty percent of this year’s graduates identified as first-generation college students and over forty percent attended part-time. The ceremony brought together family members, friends, faculty, and staff to recognize these achievements. “This institution doesn’t just graduate students — Nevada State University positions you for lifelong momentum,” said Acting President Dr. Amber Lopez Lasater.

Nevada State University promotes inclusive excellence and equitable outcomes to support students from diverse backgrounds in achieving their goals, according to the official website. The university features a scenic campus in Henderson designed for personalized learning experiences with small class sizes and operates as part of the Nevada System of Higher Education.
