Breastfeeding Class (Saturdays) on June 11
A Certified Lactation Consultant will demonstrate techniques to help you succeed with breastfeeding. Topics include breastfeeding basics, positioning, latch, pumping, weaning and jaundice. Strategies for moms returning to work will also be discussed. Women are encouraged to invite a partner or friend to attend the class with them.

The local Filipino community is the focus of the next iteration of the popular “Cultures of Las Vegas” television and podcast series. “Cultures of Las Vegas: The Filipinos” debuts on Clark County Television (CCTV) Wednesday, June 1 at 2 and 6 p.m. and airs throughout the month. The Philippines celebrates its independence on June 12.

The ceremony recognized excellence across several domains including service, longevity and tenure, to name a few. University of Phoenix is holding a monthlong employee donation drive in support of Give an Hour®, a non-profit organization that connects veterans and military community members to free mental health resources through a network of mental health providers who donate their time to the organization. The donation drive is voluntary and provides a donation link specifically for university employees.

Churchill County to Hold Dedication for Rafter 3C Arena on June 1 at 1 p.m.
Churchill County’s newest event space, the Rafter 3C Arena, officially opens to the public at this community celebration hosted by Churchill County Commissioners Pete Olsen, Greg Koenig and Justin Heath, County Manager Jim Barbee and City of Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford.
