Senator Carrie Ann Buck, EdD, has recently used her social media platform to highlight both local educational achievements and her political positions. In a series of posts from October 18 to October 20, 2025, Buck addressed a range of topics including school recognition, Nevada values, and criticism of a fellow lawmaker.
On October 18, Buck celebrated a local school’s accomplishment, stating, “Yesterday, I had the honor to deliver a proclamation from the Nevada State Senate to Principal Amy Gronna and her school community for their 5 star achievement. Congratulations to all the students, teachers, and parents on this amazing success story. All the surrounding schools https://t.co/AqV8w7TS87”.
The following day, October 19, Buck emphasized her stance on state independence and traditional values with the message: “On Sundays in Nevada, we don’t ask Washington for permission to live our values. We gather with family, pray for wisdom, and raise our kids to know right from wrong, even when DC can’t tell the difference. I’m not running to fit in… I’m running to stand up for faith, family,”.
On October 20, Buck criticized Representative Dina Titus’s voting record regarding government funding and border security: “Dina Titus didn’t just vote to shut down the government… She voted to leave Border Patrol unpaid while cartels push fentanyl across OUR border. Nevada families aren’t her priority. Open borders are. She failed the badge, failed the mission, and failed you.”
Senator Carrie Ann Buck serves as a member of the Nevada State Senate. Her recent public statements come amid ongoing debates about federal government funding and border security policy in the United States. In recent years, government shutdowns have led to temporary lapses in pay for federal employees, including Border Patrol agents.
