CITY OF HENDERSON: Henderson Police Conclude Joining Forces Event Targeting Speeders

City of Henderson issued the following announcement on July 14.

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 13th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program.

During the enforcement initiative that ran from July 1st through July 12th, 2021, Henderson Police stopped a total of 555 motorists.

Of the 555 traffic stops, motorists were issued 395 speeding citations, 4 citations for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), 25 citations for registration and driver’s license violations, 6 citations for no insurance, as well as several other citations issued for other traffic related offenses. Additionally, 132 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.

Henderson Police Department received $220,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2021 Joining Forces program.
