City of Henderson issued the following announcement on August 17.
The City of Henderson Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased 70-year-old male in his home after conducting a welfare check in the 2700 block of Pastel Avenue on August 16, at approximately 10:00 a.m.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim died of suspicious circumstances, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide. A suspect has not been identified at this time and police are following up on any developing leads.
Due to the fact that this is still an open investigation, no additional details will be released at this time.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
This is being investigated as the eleventh homicide in Henderson for 2021.
