During her career, which dates back to 1997, Brown worked for multiple state organizations, including Business and Industry, Public Safety and the Industrial Insurance System.
Sisolak named her budget director when he became governor in 2018, but Brown had been working in the budget office since 2009.
“I’m proud to have Amy Stephenson joining our budget team. She has vast knowledge of our state agencies and has been a leader across so many different roles,” Sisolak said, according to NV.gov.
Stephenson has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration and has worked in the state government for over 20 years, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Public Safety, Department of Wildlife and the Department of Veterans Services.
