The City of Henderson is inviting residents with a passion for the arts to serve on its newly established Arts Advisory Commission. This commission aims to influence public art initiatives within the community.
Approved in June by the Henderson City Council, the Arts Advisory Commission will provide advice and recommendations to both the Parks and Recreation Department and the City Council. Its focus includes promoting, creating, and supporting city arts programs encompassing performing arts, literary arts, visual arts, and public education. The inaugural meeting is anticipated to take place in the fall.
Applicants must be residents of Henderson, with an application deadline set for August 4.
