Congresswoman Susie Lee, representing Nevada's 3rd district since 2019, recently shared her thoughts on social media regarding labor and environmental issues. Her statements reflect her ongoing commitment to supporting Nevada's workforce and addressing environmental challenges.
On January 24, 2025, Congresswoman Lee congratulated local unions for their efforts in securing a new contract. She expressed her support by stating: "Congratulations to @Culinary226, Bartenders Union 165, and all the hardworking Nevadans who made this new contract possible. Vegas is a city of labor, and we’ll continue fighting to keep Nevada Union Strong. One paycheck should be enough."
In another tweet dated January 25, 2025, she addressed the issue of wildfires in the United States: "In 2024, US wildfires burned nearly 9 million acres. With better prevention & management, that number could’ve been smaller. The US Forest Service and BLM do great work to take care of our public lands. We need to make it easier – not harder – for them to do their jobs."
On the same day, she advocated for legislation aimed at improving forest management: "Let’s start with why we need this legislation. FOFA allows federal agencies to more quickly and effectively manage forests on public and Tribal lands to prevent fires and protect our communities. Plain and simple."
