Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform on October 10, 2025, to address concerns about health care costs and military pay. In a series of posts, Lee criticized Republican lawmakers for their stance on Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits and called for urgent action to ensure military families are paid.
On October 10, 2025, Lee posted: “For Nevadans like Corina, health care is already too expensive. But instead of working across the aisle to lower costs, Republicans in Washington want to make the situation worse.
If Republicans in Congress do not extend ACA tax credits, health care will be out of reach for https://t.co/O1BoNI8Oth“
Later that day, she followed up with another message: “Today I heard from parents and health care providers who know all too well how cuts to health care and skyrocketing costs will affect our community. I’m fighting to protect the ACA Tax Credits and lower health care costs, because no Nevadans should be forced to go without health https://t.co/FZrq4Y9ofT” (October 10, 2025).
In her third post on the same day, Lee addressed House Speaker Mike Johnson directly regarding military pay: “Hey @SpeakerJohnson, in case you missed our letter: You must let Congress vote to pay the troops before they miss their first paycheck on October 15th.
Nearly 3 million military families will miss their next paycheck. But Republican Leaders are too afraid to bring Congress back https://t.co/q0wLsSC2wh” (October 10, 2025).
Susie Lee has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Jacky Rosen as the representative for Nevada’s 3rd district. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1966 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
