Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a series of issues and initiatives through her official Twitter account.
On April 30, 2026, Lee commented on the reopening of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after an extended shutdown. She wrote, “Republicans kept DHS shut down for 76 days and just reopened it with no recorded vote. I’m grateful the men and women who help keep our country safe will get the pay they deserve — this should have happened 76 days ago! The American people will remember the political games”.
Later that day, Lee highlighted an arts initiative in her district by announcing public voting for a student art competition. She stated on April 30, 2026: ” People’s Choice voting is OPEN for the 2026 NV-03 Congressional Art Competition, showcasing the incredible talent of student artists across our district! Cast your vote at the link in bio for your favorite piece.”
On May 1, 2026, Lee recognized local efforts to support veterans in southern Nevada. She tweeted: “So glad to work with Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada to help get this project off the ground. They are doing amazing work for our veterans in southern Nevada!”
Susie Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd District since replacing Jacky Rosen in 2019 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Born in Canton, Ohio in 1966, she is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
