Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, marked several events and issues in a series of posts on social media this week.
On March 12, Lee recognized the anniversary of a national youth organization, writing: “Happy 114th birthday, @GirlScouts! From my days as a Brownie in Ohio to serving as a troop leader in Las Vegas, I’ve seen firsthand how Girl Scouts helps young people grow into confident, capable leaders. To every scout out there: champion your dreams and ambitions, and know” (March 12, 2026).
Later that day, she responded to reports of violence at a religious institution in Michigan. In her post she stated: “Horrified by today’s attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. No one should have to fear for their safety when they go to worship, and I’m grateful to the security personnel and first responders who acted so quickly to protect innocent lives. Antisemitism and violence have no” (March 12, 2026).
On March 13, Lee shared her experience participating in an educational event with local students: “Books can take you anywhere I had a great time meeting some 5th graders at Lucille S. Rogers Elementary School and reading to them during Nevada Reading Week last week. Reading helps strengthen your mind, makes you a better writer, and builds your imagination! https://t.co/mVE5zPUFil” (March 13, 2026).
Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd District since replacing Jacky Rosen in Congress in 2019. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1966 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Lee is also an alumna of Carnegie Mellon University.
