Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed issues ranging from veterans’ health care to small business challenges and community achievements through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On May 13, 2026, Lee highlighted the plight of veterans exposed to toxic radiation at the Nevada Test and Training Range. She wrote: “Many of our veterans and military families who served at the Nevada Test and Training Range were victims of toxic radiation exposure. I’m fighting to get them the benefits they earned. Every two days, another veteran dies without the care they’ve earned and their families don’t”.
A day later, on May 14, Lee recognized a local resident’s athletic accomplishment: “Gamini Sugathadasa is a Sri Lankan American and long-time Las Vegas resident of nearly 30 years! He recently achieved an extraordinary milestone by winning his age category at the Boston Marathon, one of the most prestigious races in the world. Please join me in congratulating”.
On May 15, Lee addressed economic pressures facing small businesses in southern Nevada: “From tariffs to high gas prices, our small businesses in southern Nevada are getting squeezed. So glad I could meet with small business owners from Vegas here in Washington and talk about what I’m doing to make it easier to run a business in our community. I will continue to”.
Susie Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Jacky Rosen. Born in Canton, Ohio in 1966, she currently resides in Las Vegas and holds a BA from Carnegie Mellon University.
