Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has raised concerns about recent federal actions affecting her state. In a series of posts on October 16, 2025, Lee alleged improper dismissals of federal workers and funding cuts that impact local education programs.

On October 16, Lee posted: “The Administration has been ILLEGALLY firing federal workers and withholding funds in Nevada since January. Now they are once again coming after our afterschool programs by laying off staff at the Department of Education.

Lee has served as the congressional representative for Nevada’s 3rd District since 2019, succeeding Jacky Rosen. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1966 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
