Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 15, 2025, criticizing the Trump Administration’s handling of federal programs and its impact on Nevada.

In a thread beginning at 15:28 UTC, Lee stated, “I’m very worried about what illegal plans the Administration has for the shutdown. But they didn’t need a shutdown to take a wrecking ball to Nevada’s local economy and programs. Here’s the damage they’ve done to our state(1/6)”.

She continued her critique by highlighting specific actions taken by the administration. In one tweet posted at 15:25 UTC, she wrote, “(2/6) DOGE fired workers at Lake Mead and failed:”. In another tweet from the same time, she added, “(3/6) The Trump Administration froze funds for afterschool programs in July and failed:”.

Lee has represented Nevada’s 3rd district since 2019 after succeeding Jacky Rosen. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1966 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Lee is an alumna of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Her recent posts reflect ongoing concerns among some lawmakers regarding federal decisions affecting local economies and public services during periods of government uncertainty.
