Two University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) women’s tennis players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Teams by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced on May 12.

The recognition highlights the academic and athletic achievements of student-athletes across the nation. The award is given to those who excel both in their sport and in their studies.

Junior Hudson Hawkins from Las Vegas and sophomore Sofiia Sokolvak from Kyiv, Ukraine, were honored after being starters for the Rebels this season. Hawkins, a graduate of Silverado High School who transferred from Montana State, maintained a 3.92 grade point average while majoring in finance. Sokolvak held a 3.55 GPA as a hospitality management major.

To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be either starters or significant contributors on their teams. The program recognizes top performers both academically and athletically.

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America program also acknowledges men’s tennis honorees across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Those selected as Academic All-District honorees move forward to consideration for the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
