The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) women’s golf team will begin its spring break by participating in the Jackrabbits Invitational on March 16-17, according to a Mar. 15 announcement. The event is hosted by South Dakota State and will take place at Boulder Creek Golf Club, which features a par-72 course spanning 6,343 yards.
The tournament brings together a field of ten teams. Alongside UNLV and the host South Dakota State Jackrabbits, other competitors include CSUN, IU Indy, Morehead State, Northern Iowa, Omaha, Oral Roberts, Portland State, and St. Thomas.
Representing UNLV in the main lineup are junior Zi Yu Foong, freshman Lana Yamagata, sophomore Amber Chen, junior Jane Huang, and freshman Demi Du. Additionally, freshman Yen Liu, junior Leonie Krausse, freshman Almina Erdogan, and sophomore Caitlin Shippam will participate as individuals.
The competition is scheduled to start with 36 holes on Monday and conclude with an additional 18 holes on Tuesday. Play begins at 8 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday with a shotgun start.
