The Henderson Police Department officially released the names of officers involved in a shooting that occurred Sept. 21, SE Vegas News reported. The officer-involved shooting took place on the 3000 block of East Charleston Boulevard.

“Henderson SWAT shoots, kills suspect in east valley, police say #OIS #Nevada,” Raymond Foster, a retired police officer, tweeted Sept. 22.

The names of the officers are Officer Logan Tillmon and Officer Mark Street, both were members of the SWAT team. Both officers have been employed with the department since 2008.

During the investigation into the shooting, both officers have been assigned to the Operations Support Division and have also been placed on paid administrative leave for an undefined amount of time.

The officers reportedly responded to a call in the afternoon on East Charleston Boulevard where they encountered the suspect and opened fire, which was fatal for the suspect, 8 News Now reported.

The location of the shooting was, in fact, far outside the jurisdiction of the responding unit, but the Las Vegas Metro Police, whose jurisdiction the location was within, were busy with an incident of another officer-involved shooting, which was apparently unrelated.

The department has fallen under increased scrutiny in recent months as the most recent event represents the second officer-involved shooting on the year. The department has been under consistent pressure to fire the officers involved with the shooting.
