City of Henderson recently issued the following announcement.
Henderson Detectives identified 38-year-old Derrick Allen as the suspect.
On October 7th, 2021, Allen was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Henderson Detention Center on the following charges:
1 count Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon
1 count of Own/Possess Firearm by Prohibited Person
2 counts Possession of Controlled Substance

Henderson Police Investigate Homicide
Henderson, Nev. – The City of Henderson Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 38-year-old female in the 10 block of Brown Street occurring October 6th, at approximately 7:40 a.m.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim died of an apparent gunshot wound. The incident is being investigated as a domestic related homicide.
Person(s) of interest have been identified and are still outstanding. Henderson detectives are following up on developing leads into their whereabouts.
Due to the fact that this is still an open investigation, no additional details will be released at this time.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
This is being investigated as the thirteenth homicide in Henderson for 2021.
