A Las Vegas social services organization is ready to assist residents at five locations in the Las Vegas Valley.
The Harbor juvenile assessment program offers counseling, tutoring and other support services, according to a recent news release shared on the Clark County government website.
Director of Clark County Juvenile Justice Services, Jim Martin, who runs the Harbor program, said their services are a great way for people to get a new start.
“The pandemic took a toll on our community and our families, and the transition back to in-person learning at school was difficult for many kids,” Martin said in the release. “We encourage youth and families to connect with the Harbor if they are in need of services to get a fresh start over the summer so they can get off to a great school year this fall.”
The Harbor’s five locations operate daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., the release stated.
Indicators that children and teenagers may need help include “depression, anxiety, drug or alcohol use, isolation, bullying, delinquency or behavioral changes,” according to the release.
