City of Boulder recently issued the following announcement.
Boulder City Electric Division staff have been working to upgrade the 69kV line between Buchanan and Boulder City Tap. On Tuesday, February 22, their work will likely require a short power disruption, likely to last less than one hour. PAR Electric will be working with City staff on the upgrade.
During the upgrade process, it may be necessary to disconnect the power supply to the City to ensure the safety of our workers. It is possible that the City will lose electrical service for approximately one hour. In an effort to minimize any disruption to residents and business owners, the outage will occur around 3:30 a.m. and should be restored around 4:30 a.m. If you have any medical equipment, please prepare to run it on back-up power for the duration. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The City will update this information (if necessary) on the website – www.bcnv.org – as well as on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor and Instagram). If you have any questions, please contact us at 702.293.9266, Option 1, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PLEASE NOTE: City offices are closed on Monday, February 21 for President’s Day.)
