Henderson Police conclude campaign targeting speeders

The Henderson Police Department has concluded its ninth campaign under the current Joining Forces Program. The enforcement initiative, which ran from June 5 through June 21, 2024, resulted in a total of 1,085 motorists being stopped.

During this period, officers issued 877 speeding citations, 22 distracted driving violations, 15 red light violations, and 140 citations for other traffic-related offenses.

The department received $196,000 in federal funding for these enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2024 Joining Forces program.
