Congresswoman Susie Lee, representing Nevada's 3rd district since 2019, recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. The congresswoman, who has been an active voice in legislative matters, highlighted her support for the Fix Our Forests Act and discussed challenges related to firefighter compensation. Additionally, she celebrated the achievements of a local cheerleading team.
On January 25, 2025, Congresswoman Lee expressed her support for the Fix Our Forests Act. She stated: "I voted for the Fix Our Forests Act because it is a good, bipartisan bill. It’s a necessary step to protecting all of our forests." However, she emphasized that further actions are needed to protect firefighters as well.
In another tweet on January 25, 2025, Lee addressed her ongoing efforts to secure permanent pay fixes for public servants such as firefighters. She noted: "I’ve tried time and again to pass standalone legislation giving these public servants a permanent pay fix. Committee leadership has refused to give it a vote." Despite offering amendments to the Fix Our Forests Act (FOFA) in consecutive years, she pointed out that GOP committee leadership did not advance them.
On January 26, 2025, Congresswoman Lee celebrated the success of the UNLV cheerleading team by tweeting: "Our amazing @unlvcheer women won the Game Day national title once again this year..." She acknowledged their dedication and hard work during recognition on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.
