Congresswoman Susie Lee addresses doctor shortage and other pressing issues

Congresswoman Susie Lee, who represents Nevada's 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several key issues through a series of tweets. Serving since 2019, Lee has focused on local and national concerns, including healthcare shortages and executive actions.

On January 30, 2025, Congresswoman Susie Lee highlighted Nevada's critical shortage of doctors due to insufficient residency slots for medical students. She stated, "Nevada has a severe doctor shortage. Why? Because we don’t get enough residency slots for our medical students to graduate & stay in NV." Lee joined the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to discuss her bipartisan bill aimed at prioritizing residency slots for high-need states like Nevada.

Later that day, on January 30, 2025, she expressed condolences regarding a tragic accident involving a plane and helicopter crash in Washington D.C. She tweeted, "Last night’s plane and helicopter crash in DC was an awful, awful tragedy." She also acknowledged the efforts of first responders who worked in challenging conditions and extended sympathies to the families affected by the loss.

In another tweet on January 30, 2025, Lee invited constituents to share their experiences related to recent Executive Orders issued by President Trump. She announced, " Seeking Stories Since taking office, President Trump has issued a flurry of Executive Orders." Her website now features a form for individuals to describe how these orders have impacted them.
