Congresswoman Susie Lee, representing Nevada's 3rd district since 2019, has been vocal on social media regarding recent legislative and administrative issues. In a series of tweets, she addressed concerns about energy investments and data protection legislation.
On February 7, 2025, Congresswoman Lee expressed her views on the Trump Administration's policy adjustments. She stated: "Looks like our public pressure has the Trump Admin walking back their illegal cash grab. These investments should remain available because they were signed into law to help lower energy costs for Nevadans. Working families shouldn't suffer so billionaires can get a tax break."
Later that day, she voiced her support for the Taxpayer Data Protection Act in another tweet. She emphasized the need for safeguarding Americans' private information from misuse by tech companies: "I'm supporting the Taxpayer Data Protection Act because it will protect Americans’ private data from Elon Musk and his reckless DOGE employees. Republican leadership has to let us vote. If they don’t, it only takes three lone Republicans to join us and make it happen."
Continuing her advocacy for data privacy, Lee highlighted potential risks associated with "read-only" access by tech entities on February 8, 2025. She tweeted: "And???? 'Read only' access means Elon Musk's DOGE team can still 'read only' your Social Security Number and bank account numbers. That's unacceptable. We have a bill to stop it — we just need 3 Republicans to join us."
