On March 8, 2025, Congresswoman Lee addressed the doctor shortage issue in Nevada and criticized Republican Medicaid cuts. She stated: "Nevada has a doctor shortage & Republican Medicaid cuts will make it worse for everyone. I introduced my bipartisan Physicians for Underserved Areas Act to get us more doctors." She also urged Governor Joseph Lombardo to endorse her initiative and called on Republicans in Congress to halt Medicaid cuts.
