Congresswoman Susie Lee, representing Nevada’s 3rd district, shared several updates and reflections on social media. Her recent posts address issues of traffic safety, water management concerns, and a personal tribute to a pioneering colleague.
On March 15, 2025, Congresswoman Lee emphasized the importance of road safety in a public service announcement. She stated: "Just a friendly PSA to drive safe and be responsible this weekend when out on our roads, bike paths, and sidewalks." She noted her efforts in securing funds for traffic safety but stressed that community responsibility is essential.
Later that day, she addressed environmental concerns regarding water management. On March 15, 2025, she tweeted: "The highly unusual water releases from California dams in January were a risky and wasteful political stunt that jeopardized Nevada’s water. And it didn’t help LA at all." She mentioned collaborating with Rep. Mike Levin to seek clarity from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
On March 16, 2025, Congresswoman Lee expressed her sorrow over the passing of Nita Lowey. In her post she wrote: "This was me and Nita on the day I was sworn in. I’m so sad to hear of her passing." She paid tribute to Lowey's legacy as the first woman to chair the Appropriations Committee.
