A couple visiting Sin City to tie the knot was taken by surprise after finding out they received the five-millionth marriage license issued by Clark County.

Luis Pantoja and Mayra Ramirez were surprised with gifts and even a free wedding ring and $1,500 worth in tickets from Allegiant, according to News 4 San Antonio.

“It means good things are coming,” Pantoja said, according to Travel Awaits. “We wanted to keep things stress free and just us, not the big wedding. Guess this is a little bigger now.”

Clark County took to Twitter to give the newlyweds well-wishes.

"Congrats to Luis Pantoja and Mayra Ramirez, the 5 millionth couple to get a Las Vegas marriage license!" Clark County Nevada said in a tweet. "@tsegerblom has given them a Key to the Las Vegas Strip & declared it 'Luis Pantoja and Mayra Ramirez Day' in Greater #LasVegas #ForeverHappensHere #WeddingCapital #Vegas."

February has always been a big nuptials month. The United Press International reported that the Marriage License Bureau in Clark County sees an influx of approximately 600 marriages on Valentine's Day alone. Last year, the county issued over 77,000 licenses, and this year it expects to surpass that. The process of receiving a marriage license typically lasts no more than 10 minutes.

“Couples who married in Las Vegas are part of our history,” Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said, according to Travel Awaits. “If you were married in Las Vegas, you are part of our history. We are reaching out to out couples all over the world and inviting them to send their stories.”

A couple from Los Angeles told United Press International that they decided to get married in Las Vegas after 22 years of dating.

"It's cheaper; it's more our scene," Melissa De Leon said, United Press International reported. "We're having our bachelor/bachelorette party tonight, and we'll have a party bus tomorrow."
